Lyrics:

What is a religion… where women are worthless…

What is a faith where a woman’s worth is less than dirt?
Obey the man, stay silent, buried in a shirt
No school, no voice, no future, just a shadow in the night
Man fears her power so he locks her out of sight
What kind of god needs little girls to satisfy his lust?
Marries off a child while the holy men adjust

Why can’t women rule? Why can’t they stand as tall?
Why must they be wrapped from crown to toe behind a wall?
Meek and mute, always hidden, never seen, never heard
Living in the shadow of a devil’s twisted word  [Chorus]
Cover yourself, bitch! (Cover yourself!)
Devil’s cloth, devil’s law, devil’s game
Stone the lovers till they bleed, hang the ones who love the same
Man and man, woman and woman — death for every flame
This is the religion that screams my name!

Wrapped in black from head to toe, a walking cage of fear
Not allowed to show her face, not allowed to shed a tear
Why the hate, why the chains, why the stones upon the ground?
Which holy book demands the blood of those who love who’s not allowed?

Cover yourself bitch! Hide your hair, hide your skin!
Hide your mind, hide your fire, let the devil win!
Burqa, niqab, chains upon your soul
Man so scared of pussy that he’s losing all control!
Pedo prophet, stone the gay, hang the queer, obey or pay
This the faith that throws the weak in early graves!

Why can’t they be equal…
Why must they live in the shadow…
Which devil stones lovers to death…

Cover yourself, bitch!
Devil’s veil, devil’s rule, devil’s lie
Women worthless, children brides, watch the innocents die
Man fears woman, so he breaks her every night
This religion’s darkness — I refuse to see the light!

What is a religion… where women are worthless…

Background:

The 2024 "Chastity and Hijab" Legislation
In response to widespread civil disobedience, the Iranian parliament approved the controversial "Law on Protecting the Family through the Promotion of the Culture of Chasity and Hijab". This law significantly expanded penalties for failing to wear a hijab in both physical and online spaces:

Severe Fines: Fines can range from 15 million rials (around $24) to over one billion rials depending on the frequency of the violation.

Harsh Penalties: Repeat offenders and public figures face travel bans, bans on professional activities, confiscation of assets, and prison sentences ranging from 5 to 15 years.

Citizen Surveillance: Businesses, taxi drivers, and schools are legally mandated to report non-compliance, and citizens are encouraged to act as "hijab monitors" using state-backed apps.
